ILLINOIS

Blessed with some of the world’s most fertile soils and productive farms – combined with the most innovative and dedicated operators on the planet – Illinois consistently harvests more corn and soybeans than any state other than Iowa.  Thanks in no small part to Illinois, the United States remains the global leader in terms of corn bushels harvested annually.

O’Neil Family Farms operates three farms in Illinois.  Two lie in Morgan County, Illinois, near Jacksonville, some 35 miles west of Springfield, while the third is located just to the north, in neighboring Cass County.  These farms feature excellent soil types, generally flat land with some gently rolling areas, and extensive tiling to manage excess rainfall, making for highly productive corn and soybean farmland.  Significant grain storage capacity on two of the farms allows for greater crop marketing flexibility.
