Iowa is the top corn producing state nearly every year, thanks to its nutrient-dense soils, average annual rainfall that suits corn's needs, and a typical growing season that's long enough, with plenty of sunshine and warmth, to promote crop growth.  In fact, Iowa produces more corn each year than most countries.

Our Iowa farm is located in Wright County, just outside of Clarion, about 90 miles north of Des Moines.  The land is nearly level and almost 100% tillable, with productive soil types.  This is our newest location, and we're excited about the possibility of growing in Iowa, given the strong productivity of the land, plenty of grain merchandising opportunities (grain elevators, livestock feeding operations, and ethanol plants), and pro-business policies.
